Variety Eggplant Information

Variety Garlic Information

Sugar Snap 53 days (Heirloom) - Best tasting of the snap peas. Bears abundant 2 1/2-3 inch meaty, juicy pods with 5-7 medium sized peas each. Sweet all through. Excellent fresh or frozen. Will climb up to 6 feet, so needs support. Frost resistant.
Variety Potatoes Information
All Blue-Late This beautiful, medium-sized, extra-late potato has deep blue skin as well as consistently blue flesh. The plant has beautiful blue flowers. The rich mealy taste of these potatoes when mashed is enhanced by the color. To keep color, do not overcook. High yields. Once blue potatoes were grown on potato trial grounds between other varieties to demarcate the division between varieties (called purple marker).
All Red-Mid These medium to extra-large tubers have smooth, brilliant red skin with medium shallow eyes and pink swirled flesh that retains its color after cooking. Like most reds, this variety is good for steaming or boiling and makes an attractive and unusual potato salad.
Caribe-Early Large with lavender skin and white flesh; good boiled, steamed or mashed. Resistant to drought, scab and storage rot. Ideal for the home garden; excellent yields and grows almost anywhere. Heirloom.
French Fingerling-Mid This fingerling is gourmet quality with smooth skin and yellow flesh. There is usually a little pink/red ring just under the skin. It produces medium to large tubers.
German Butterball-Mid Extremely popular potato. Its smooth, thick, golden, and netted skin and butter yellow flesh are characteristics of this small to medium oblong tuber with outstanding taste. Great for hash browns, fries, steaming or baking, and it stores well. Excellent flavor.
Princess LaRatte-Mid French potato, the culinary superstars of European haute cuisine. Mildly nutty, reminiscent of chestnuts, hazelnuts and almonds with a subtle sweetness!
Purple Majesty-Early Oblong, mid season potato with smooth dark purple skin. Almost solid purple inside. Very good table quality. Makes a great blue potato salad.
Red LaSoda-Early Smooth, red skin, deep eyes and white flesh. God for boiling or salads. One of the best storing reds; keeps well into June. Tolerates high temperatures. Excellent harvests. Heirloom.
Red Norland-Early The medium to large tubers with smooth thin red skin with shallow eyes have light-yellow to white flesh and great flavor. They store well and are moderately resistant to scab. This variety was developed at North Dakota State University for northern climates and provides high yields.
Russet Burbank-Mid Russet skin, shallow eyes, and white flesh are characteristic of this long-oval russet. Great taste-baked, fried or boiled. Long-storing, scab-resistant potato needs a consistent moisture supply. Most widely grown potato in the U.S. originating from Luther Burbank's early plant breeding. This is the potato that made Idaho famous.
Yukon Gem-Mid Improved version of Yukon Gold. Mid-season variety that was bred from Yukon Gold using traditional plant breeding. Round to oval, light yellow skin with pink splash around eyes. Smooth-skinned and medium-sized, Yukon Gem potatoes can be baked, roasted, boiled, or processed into golden chips or fries. Late-blight resistant.
Yukon Gold-Early This round tuber has smooth, thin yellow skin with pink coloring around shallow eyes and yellow flesh.
